Fresh seeds germinate in 50-75% 7-21 days of sowing. Stored in jute bags or clay pots, seeds remain viable for six months (Kadambi, 1954). Seed viability can be extended to 9-12 months by drying seeds to moisture content of 8% and store them in airtight containers, however, germination will be reduced to 30-40%. One kilogram of seed contains 21 000
